U.S. smartphone users consumed an average 124.5 GB of data per month in Q4 2023. Wi-Fi networks continued account for over 80% of the total data traffic on smartphones. Notably, cellular data traffic dropped by 2% from Q3 2023 in parallel to the increase in the adoption of higher tier rate plans that come with faster data speeds and bigger mobile hotspot data buckets.
