After modest growth in 2024, Smart Home sales are softer early in 2025, declining -2% through April compared to a year ago.  While the industry continues to struggle to convert more households into owners, macro economic headwinds including high credit card debt, declining consumer wealth and uncertainty related to trade have impacted consumer confidence and spending.

2024 was an improved year for the US Smart Home market even as revenue performance lagged many other consumer technology categories. According to Circana’s Retail Tracking Service, Smart Home revenue declined -5% in 2024 as units grew <1%.
