The quarterly Wearable Marketplace report provides a detailed listing of the latest consumer wearable products that are in market, or expected to launch soon. The report tracks a wide variety of wearable product metrics and also provides useful infographics on the various wearable devices and device categories.
The Wearables Profile Report leverages the recent survey results in an interactive tool, allowing customers to compare and contrast wearable adoption among different demographics, device ownership and more. It now includes the ability to compared cellular-active smartwatch customers to other segments.
As discussed in the Wearables Ownership report, this wave of the wearables research comes in unusual times (still) with the COVID-19 pandemic impacting everyone’s daily lives. This has not just caused upheaval in consumers’ daily routines, but has also threatened the financial stability for many who may have less job security than pre-COVID. This continues to put pressure on the wearables market – particularly the more expensive smartwatch market – as the device may be considered a nice-to-have rather than a must have.
We have revised the April report to better calibrate the cellular-connected ownership numbers.
