The NPD Connected Intelligence Service Plans Marketplace Report provides a complete view of all mobile broadband service plans offered by the nationwide postpaid and prepaid carriers. This report features each carrier's service plans on smartphones and mobile broadband products in separate tabs, which provides sectional navigation to postpaid and prepaid plans. The data is gathered from multiple sources (online and retail store surveys) during the last week of each month.
Key July Marketplace Report Highlights:
NPD Connected Intelligence’s new Promotions Marketplace report is a monthly updated tracker providing insights into a wireless carrier and national distributor's promotional incentive practices. The report provides a detailed list of all promotional activities captured via NPD’s retail and online store visits conducted on a periodical basis. Captured promotions are categorized (i.e., service plan, accessories, device discounts, BOGOs, Gift Cards, etc.) and dated (start date/end date) for easy navigation and analysis purposes.
Key July Marketplace Report Highlights:
NPD Connected Intelligence's Device Marketplace report provides a comprehensive view of the US mobile device landscape through the online tracking of mobile phones and other cellular-powered products such as tablets and mobile hotspots. The monthly updated report provides device spec and pricing information on the afforementioned products available through all major postpaid and prepaid service providers' digital channels as well as national distributor outlets (including Best Buy, Walmart, Target online stores) and manufacturer direct online store of Apple.
The smartphone usage report leverages an on-device metering solution to gain greater insight into how consumers are using their smartphones, looking at key category use such as social media, search, gaming and so on.
This version of the report features a re-designed interface to speed up the display of results, leveraging a simple drop-down menu solution similar to other Profile Reports. In addition, we have added the new category of Health and Fitness apps.
The US Mobile Carrier KPI report features trending (2009-2020) of nationwide carriers' key performance indicators for subscriber growth by contract/device type as well as mobile service revenue and churn statistics. The report also provides a detailed 10+ year trending of connected tablet connections and net additions by carrier in the US market.
The Mobile Connectivity Report is based on consumer panel reporting, looking at attitudes towards connectivity preferences for smartphones, tablets and other mobile broadband devices. The report includes details of brand ownership, carrier market share, OEM and carrier churn analysis, device upgrade cycles, data consumption analysis, share of embedded devices and how the devices are being connected (directly, through tethering, or via mobile hotspots) as well as how much data goes through during the connection sessions.
