According to The NPD Group, from October 2021 to April 2022, cost went from the #4 reason for cancelling a subscription video on demand (SVOD) service to #2.

This report tracks the availability of TV network, vMVPD, streaming video service and sporting league apps on TV-connected devices. As of February 2022, TV-connected devices were installed in 87.9 million homes. Within this report we track the availability of apps within 93 percent of those households, depicting their reach to as many as 82.0 million homes.
